Ms. Powers has an extensive trial practice that focuses on business litigation, employment-related litigation,  and intellectual property. Ms. Powers counsels a diverse range of publicly and privately held companies, both large and small, as well as insurance companies, municipal corporations, executives, and start-ups. Ms. Powers represents both plaintiffs and defendants with respect to general corporate and employment law matters, including business torts, contract disputes, antitrust matters, allegations of discrimination, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants, trade secret misappropriation disputes, intellectual property matters, and personal injury litigation. 


Ms. Powers has a robust advisory practice, counseling clients regarding how to avoid legal liability and prepare effective policies, employment agreements and severance agreements. Ms. Powers represents clients in a wide range of commercial transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, commercial contracts, and commercial leases. Ms. Powers assists clients with trademarks, and trademark applications.


In addition to her professional practice, Ms. Powers serves as Chair of the Board of the North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic and was recognized as a Crains Chicago Business 2022 Notable Nonprofit Board Leader.
